About the Role
The Executive Officer post provides high-level support to the Director of the Mile End Institute. The appointee will work closely with the Director to plan and facilitate the strategic development of the MEI and will be directly responsible for organising events, managing internal and externally facing communications, outreach to academics and potential speakers. The post holder will also work as part of a wider partnerships team identifying synergies and supporting extending networks.
The post holder will be committed to supporting Institute networks and will be proactive in supporting senior external stakeholder relationships.
You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with a variety of external and internal stakeholders, build relationships internally and developing your own knowledge of public engagement at QMUL, nationally and internationally.

The mission of the Mile End Institute is to leverage its unique location within a Russell Group university situated in London’s super-diverse East End to bring together politicians, policymakers, academics, the public, and the QM community, to debate – inclusively and in-depth – the major challenges facing the country and its capital in a fast-moving world.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full-time, permanent appointment with an expected start date of as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £38,655 - £45,479 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
