Applications are invited for the above permanent full-time post working in the School of History, Law and Social Sciences.
We are seeking applicants with either a PhD (or working toward the completion of a PhD) in the relevant subject, or applicants who have extensive experience of professional policing practice; and ideally with experience of teaching at HE level. Candidates will be expected to teach existing modules in Professional Policing, Criminology and Criminal Justice in line with the curriculum developed by the College of Policing as well as develop modules according to their own specialist area(s).
The successful candidate will join a dynamic, supportive, and friendly faculty, which prides itself on strengths in teaching, research and scholarship in areas of Criminology, Criminal Justice, Policing, Sociology and Social Policy.
We welcome applications that would be suitable to either a Teaching and Research contract or a Teaching and Scholarship contract.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence January 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
