Who we are looking for?

In 2017, Russel Group member Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and CEG Digital partnered to create Queen Mary Online, a portfolio of flexible learning courses which equip students with valuable skills and knowledge, without interrupting income and career progression.  All Queen Mary Online courses are developed and lead by University academics.

We are looking to add to our roster of talented, self-employed tutors with the appointment of a tutor to Queen Mary Online’s MSc in Global Public Health.

The Course:

This MSc Global Public Health is a wide-ranging post-graduate programme with an emphasis on the social, political, economic, and ecological determinants of health, and with a focus on health policy analysis. Students will develop the competencies to work in health policy and health service delivery, at the local, national, and international levels, and in governmental and international bodies and NGOs. An understanding of research and epistemology will be integrated into the modules, providing an opportunity for some students to pursue further academic development in the form of a PhD.

The Modules:

The module is Global Health Policy and Governance module. This module introduces disciplines on international relations, international politics and international jurisprudence and global governance in relation to global health. Students will learn how the protection of public health at the national and subnational level often depends significantly on various decisions made by regimes at international or global levels, including those related to trade, finance, law, diplomacy, and inter-governmental relations and how they can have a profound impact on the detriments of health as experienced within countries.

Do you have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and confidentially? Do you have experience of contemporary professional practice in the subject area? If so, this could be the role for you, and we would love to hear from you.
