A qualified and experienced Electrician is required to work within the Estates Department undertaking planned, preventative and responsive maintenance and installation on electrical systems across all University campuses and buildings.
This position will play a proactive role within a critical response service, engaging with end users to deliver a first-class customer experience within a high-quality environment. You will be a committed, friendly team player who is keen to develop and progress.
Candidates should have demonstrable post qualification experience in electrical installation and maintenance, have a working knowledge of the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and be qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Electrical Installation Parts 1 and 2 or NVQ 3 in Electrical Installation (or hold an equivalent qualification) You should also hold the City & Guilds 2382, 18th edition qualification (or equivalent) or have the 17th edition and be willing to achieve the 18th edition qualification when starting the role. Due to the frequency with which the post holder will drive between University Sites a full current driving licence is also required unless disability precludes this.
This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 per week), worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday) Flexibility will be required. Arrangements for job share would be considered.
