The University of Westminster is recruiting a Mentoring Administrator to support the delivery of its award-winning Future Ready Mentoring programmes.
This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the University of Westminster, as investment has been granted to significantly expand its mentoring provision to students, in view of long-term ambitions to offer every student a work-based learning opportunity as part of their studies.
Future Ready Mentoring offers students and recent graduates the chance to learn from a professional mentor during their studies. Future Ready Mentoring offers three different types of career mentoring options to students and recent graduates to support their employability and career prospects, including the award-winning Career Mentoring Programme, Ask a Mentor service and course-embedded Group Mentoring.
The Mentoring Administrator will support the Mentoring Team in the day to day running of the Future Ready Mentoring programmes and will act as a first point of contact for all enquiries about Mentoring at Westminster. Our Future Ready Mentoring programmes currently support over 1,000 students and recent graduates a year, involving a large network of mentors who are volunteers from across our alumni, supporter, and employer community.
The role will involve working with large volumes of data and will be responsible for the production of regular data reports which can be shared with key stakeholders to demonstrate the impact on student/ recent graduates’ employability journeys. The role will also assist with the preparation and publication of printed and online material related to Future Ready Mentoring.
Reporting into the Mentoring Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of the Mentoring Team, situated within the Alumni Relations Office, to deliver against ambitious targets for Future Ready Mentoring at Westminster.
The post holder will have experience of working in a busy team environment, general office duties and delivering a high standard of customer care. They will be able to demonstrate their excellent communication and organisational skills, a pro-active and flexible approach and an ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring quality and attention to detail.
