We place a strong emphasis on innovative and authentic education, and leverage on our recognition as an International Law School to provide our students with a contemporary and global understanding of the law.

To support this work, the Law School is seeking to appoint an Associate Head of School (Global Engagement). The role holder will lead on key activities within the Global Engagement portfolio, including TNE, staff and student mobility, COIL, and the internationalisation of our curricula. The role holder will be responsible for managing links with the School’s strategic international partners, as well as developing new strategic partnerships.

Role Purpose:

The role holder will have a growing reputation in a combination of teaching and/or scholarship and/or research, a good understanding of resource management and experience of project management. This role holder will lead on the global engagement strategy within the Law School, and will be responsible for delivering and monitoring the implementation of the strategy throughout the School.

Person Specification:

The successful candidate should have:

  • PhD or equivalent professional experience, in law or a related subject.
  • Significant teaching experience at higher education level with evidence of successful delivery of student learning outcomes.
  • A record of effective relationship management and development of TNE partnerships.
  • Experience of working on research/scholarly projects or contracts, supported by evidence of contribution to appropriate output.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
