An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Zoology, within the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Science at our Brackenhurst Campus.  The successful candidate will teach in the Animal and Equine Science Department and will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching on the animal science courses. Subjects to be covered will include one or more of the following.

  • Vertebrate Zoology
  • Zoological Field Skills
  • Animal Adaptation
  • Contemporary Applications of Zoology
  • Research Skills

The applicant sought for this post will be a strong zoologist or animal scientist with a PhD in a relevant subject and an emerging or established research track record that will complement the research activity of the Department. You will hold a higher education teaching qualification and be an experienced and highly motivated academic.  In addition to teaching, it is essential that you have experience of providing undergraduate and postgraduate research support and supervision.

You will be well organised, with excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.  You will play an active role in team development and be able to work effectively with others as a member of the academic team.
