The University of Surrey is a top ten UK University set in a beautiful campus close to London. Surrey is rated highly for teaching, and we are proud to hold a Gold TEF award. As a growing School with a particular peak in activity in the coming semester, we are seeking to appoint several flexible Teaching Fellows to support our teaching programmes in our School of Biosciences and Medicine.
We welcome applicants from all areas of biosciences but we would particularly encourage applications from people with interests in molecular biology, immunology, genetics, microbiology, toxicology/pharmacology or ecology. We will be happy to consider flexible working requests (including part-time and variable hours applications) which you should outline along with your availability in your cover letter. Due to peak in demand in the Spring semester, candidates can only be considered if available for January/February start. Requests for hourly paid (low hours associate tutor contracts may also be considered).
This role offers a fantastic development opportunity for those keen to explore an academic role in our vibrant learning and teaching community at Surrey. In addition to salary, you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement, access to USS pension, childcare assistance and other family-friendly policies.
