The Department of Electronic Engineering at the University of York has an international reputation for excellence in research and teaching. In line with the Department's long-term plans for knowledge exchange and engagement with industry, we seek to appoint a KTP Associate to join the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with The Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades (the AEMT). As a Department, we strive to provide a working environment which allows all staff and students to contribute fully, to flourish, and to excel. We are proud of our Athena SWAN Bronze Award.
The KTP Associate will lead a project to convert a hands-on, practical course in hazardous area equipment repair into an online virtual learning system-based course, which uses virtual twins of real world equipment for training and assessment. You will be expected to re-design modules through an appropriate LMS to produce content that is challenging and pedagogically innovative. The successful applicant will be employed by the University of York and be based at the AEMT’s head-office in York. You will work closely with key personnel at the AEMT as well as receiving support and guidance from academics from the Department of Electronic Engineering. The KTP Associate will work full-time for a fixed term of 24 months.
