Join our highly supportive team where you will be helping to teach enthusiastic & aspirational MSc students in Applied Clinical Psychology who will want to learn from you about putting theory into practice.

The MSc Applied Clinical Psychology is one of a suite of postgraduate programmes in applied psychology, including a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. The teams work closely together with shared teaching & learning opportunities.

This post is a fantastic opportunity for psychologists or researchers working in or closely with clinical practice, clinical psychologists, or therapists with a degree in psychology looking to expand their experience & professional development through a role in teaching & training. This post can stand-alone, but for applicants interested in full-time working with a clinical-academic balance, there may be potential for additional employment with a local trust.

You will join us early in 2022, but with flexibility in both the start date & your work hours we will look to provide you the balance you need. Where required, we are keen to support your transition into teaching with a dedicated support team, and the time to study for a teaching qualification.

We are able to offer the role on a full time or part time basis working a minimum 14.6 hours per week (0.4 FTE).

Our Department of Psychology is known for its excellence in research & teaching, regularly appearing in the top 5 in national league tables (e.g., The Complete University Guide). Research in the department occurs across more than six sub-disciplines in psychology, including clinical, cognitive, developmental, environmental, forensic, health, & social psychology. The department resides in a new purpose-built £30 million building, containing 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art labs for interview, social group observation, EEG/ERP, virtual reality, psychobiology, eye-tracking, pain, cross-modal, and computerised testing.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS Check with Child Barring which we would organise.
