We are looking to appoint a motivated senior lecturer in Urban Studies, Development and Emergency Practice with the Centre for Development and Emergency Practice (CENDEP) team, School of Architecture, Oxford Brookes University. The post will be joining the multi-disciplinary team of CENDEP leading on the subject area of urban development studies and emergency practice.
This is a temporary, part-time (0.6FTE) contract for 18 months.
Overall purpose of the post: To teach students of CENDEP and in the School of Architecture at Postgraduate (PG) and Undergraduate (UG) levels, including online teaching on the Masters programme Humanitarian Action and Peacebuilding, particularly focusing on urban dimensions of humanitarianism.
Qualifications required: PhD or equivalent research experience in urban development with a focus on emergency practice.
Experience required: The post holder should have experience in teaching in higher education institution. The post holder should also have experience in a conflict or disaster area.
