The Rosta group at UCL Department of Physics and Astronomy is looking to recruit talented postdoctoral researchers to work in a dynamic collegial environment with a group of broad research interests in molecular modelling and statistical methods.

The aim of the project is to model biomolecular processes, in particular, enzyme reactions of key biomedically important systems. We aim to develop novel enhanced sampling algorithms using machine learning techniques and apply these to molecular simulations.

The successful applicants will have a PhD or soon be awarded a PhD in Chemistry, Physics or related Biological disciplines.

Experience with biomolecular or other molecular simulations is desired.

Programming knowledge is essential.

Excellent track record of publications is essential.

Candidates should also have excellent written and verbal communication and an ability to write research reports and papers in styles accessible to both academic and lay audiences.

Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Research Assistant Grade 6B (salary £32,217 - £33,958 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
