The Lead BI Data Developer will be responsible for leading a team of data developers and data engineers that build and deliver the components of an effective Analytics platform; leveraging data warehouse storage, utilising Azure Data Factory for data integration and PowerBI for end-user data analytics and reporting.

This role will play a critical part in the architectural design and implementation of these elements - capable of meeting a wide range of reporting/analytics needs. This role will encompass a mix of hands-on technical leadership and strategy development; supporting the faculty to continue its journey to develop its analytics platform on next-generation technology.

What you will be doing:

  • Work in an agile, proactive manner delivering high-quality solutions in agreed timescales.
  • Design and develop ETL/ELT processes, data warehouse database architecture, Tabular Model, reports and dashboards; in-line with company reporting strategy and best practise.
  • Design and develop models and databases both relational and dimensional to support reporting requirements.
  • Assist in developing standards for data warehouse, data ingestion, data access layers and BI solutions.
  • Help mentor, steer and supervise your team from a technical standpoint while influencing technical direction.
  • Ensure the University maintains a low technical debt & identify an area for automation (CI/CD pipelines) and continuous improvement.
