We are looking to recruit a Senior Development Executive to join the Humanities Development Team. You will be joining a successful and experienced fundraising team to build on a period of growth.
Oxford is the world’s leading university for humanities teaching and research. The University’s scholarship in languages, literature, history, philosophy, religion & the arts – from the earliest civilisation to the present day – enriches our understanding of humankind, and informs how we engage with historic issues and contemporary concerns.
To be successful in this role you will be highly motivated and enthusiastic about the impact of research and teaching in the Humanities. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will be an experienced development professional with a demonstrable track record of securing six-figure major gifts. You must have a confident approach to achieving ambitious income targets and the ability to think entrepreneurially. You will contribute to approaches to high level donors (corporate, trust and individual) and will manage your own donor portfolio.
You will have a passion for the Arts and Humanities and possess diplomacy, creativity and outstanding communication skills, as well as the ability to operate comfortably in a large, complex institution with multiple stakeholders. Essential to the role is the ability to develop good working relationships with the academic community, and the creativity, discretion and tenacity to manage multiple projects. You will have the credibility and confidence to influence at the highest level, and a collaborative and flexible working style is essential.
Only applications received before 12.00 noon on Monday 7 February can be considered. You will be required to upload a letter of application as part of your online application. Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday 22 February 2022.
