Short Introductory Paragraph
This interdisciplinary social science teaching and research group brings together academics interested in a broad range of ‘people management’ issues. Psychology and sociology are major disciplinary influences, but historical and geographical approaches may also be taken. The group conducts research in the areas of organisation studies, work psychology and employment relations. Output ranges from traditional academic scholarship to work with a significant impact on public policy and management.

At least a 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent) with a preference for a UK Masters degree (with average programme mark of no less than 65%) or International equivalent. English Language requirement of IELTS band 7.0 or above with not less than 7.0 in each component.
The studentship provides a minimum tax free stipend of £15,609 per annum for the duration of the studentship plus tuition fees at the UK rate. International (including EU) students may apply however the total value of the studentship will be used to cover the cost of the International tuition fee.
Please note that studentships will be awarded on a competitive basis to applicants who have applied within the School. Funding decisions will not be confirmed until early 2022.
