About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the University of Derby policing team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Policing, for a 12 month fixed term contract. To deliver across the range of programmes at UG and PG level. We are currently delivering many undergraduate programmes within the PEQF, including the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeships, Professional Policing Programme (pre-join) both 3 year and accelerated and the Degree Holder Entry Programme. Our MSc provision includes both Police Leadership and Criminal Investigations.
As part of your role, you will deliver an innovative and flexible range of learning and teaching materials across modules that provide high quality, accessible learning opportunities and an exceptional student experience in line with the University’s strategic objectives, ensuring that employability and ‘real-world’ learning are at the heart of the curriculum. You will also be required to deliver across the range of programmes at UG and PG level. Applicants should be able to demonstrate and extensive knowledge and experience of UK policing.
Please note that unfortunately, this role will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored Skilled Worker visa under the UK Visas & Immigration points-based immigration system; however, applications are welcome from candidates who do not currently have the right to work in the UK, but who would be eligible to obtain a valid visa via another route.
