This post offers an opportunity to join the Initial Teacher Education subject community in the School of Education and Humanities at the University of Gloucestershire. You will become part of a creative, supportive team who are committed to providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities for all intending teachers. We would like to recruit a new colleague to increase our specialist teaching and research capacity in Art and Design. You will lead the teaching of Art and Design for trainees in KS3 and KS4 with KS5 enhancement and will contribute to a range of elements such as Professional Studies, placement supervision, assessment activities, personal tutoring, mentoring and coaching, and curriculum planning. You will have specialist knowledge of Art and Design and be committed to ongoing professional development as an academic and practising artist. You will have experience of working in a range of media. Prior experience of subject leadership in school would be advantageous. You will be committed to excellent safeguarding practice and will aspire to make a positive difference in the lives of our trainees, school-based colleagues, children and families.
