About The Inner Temple
Anyone who wishes to become a barrister in England and Wales must join one of the four Inns of Court. Established around the middle of the fourteenth century and located in what is now central London, the role of the Inns has changed over time. However, while most of legal education has been devolved to higher education institutions, the Inns still continue to play an essential part in education and training for the Bar.
About the Education and Training Department
The Inner Temple fulfils its role in training and supporting both student and qualified barristers through Education and Training activities, these activities are arranged by the Inn’s dedicated Education and Training Department. The Department is responsible for:
While leading the education and training of student and qualified barristers, other departments like the Library and the Inn’s Treasury’s team make up the totality of the Inn’s educational offer.

The purpose of the Outreach Co-ordinator role is to be responsible for operational support required to deliver educational outreach and widening participation programmes to schools, universities and the wider community that aim to widening access to the Society.
The aim of these activities is to provide, from first contact and throughout their career journey, outreach activities that inform and support those exploring a career at the Bar, including those from diverse and under-represented backgrounds as defined by the Office of Students.
