Are you an experienced development professional with a track record of leading the delivery of high-quality academic leadership development provision and transformational change programmes at a cross-organisational level?

The University of Leeds has recently embarked upon a major, 10-year project to transform the educational experience of its students to ensure that regardless of their background all develop the knowledge and skills required for them to succeed and make a positive impact in the world. Partnership, excellence in student education, digital innovation, and shared endeavour by our community are key elements of the project. So this is an exciting time to join the professional services at the University of Leeds!

Leading research universities have a unique role to play in shaping a better future for humanity. To do so, educational programmes must be transformative and focused on helping students from diverse backgrounds to develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed and make a positive impact on the world.  To achieve this, the University of Leeds is embarking on an ambitious University-wide review to refresh all our undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes over the next five years - Curriculum Redefined. The project will then embed our frameworks and new ways of working over a second five-year phase.

This is an exciting time to join the Organisational Development and Professional Learning team at the University of Leeds, as we evolve our provision and service to support the University’s strategic ambitions, as set out in our University Strategy 2020 to 2030: Universal Values, Global Change.

This post is responsible for the development and delivery of a range of development initiatives including academic leadership and professional development for our diverse workforce. Our agenda is varied and fast paced and includes piloting new provision, which will include developing or commissioning supporting resources and building our approaches to staff engagement.

Leading a small team of professional colleagues and working with cross-institutional teams, you will develop and evaluate our provision to ensure that our delivery is aligned with organisational priorities and reflects good practice.

Your ability to work collaboratively across the University to ensure that our provision is aligned, responsive and continually improving will be vital to your success in this role as will your ability to establish your credibility to coach, influence and engage with senior leaders.

An experienced senior consultant and development practitioner you will need to apply your professional skills in the development, design and delivery of leadership programmes and events alongside your contribution to the successful delivery of strategic organisational development initiatives.
