Duties of the Role 

This is a varied role that provides administrative support and lab support for the School of Health and Social Care and in this role, you will:

  • Take responsibility for ensuring that labs are maintained to the standard
  • Maintain the skills labs, ensuring the labs are clean, laundry is changed, and that equipment and educational materials are in safe working order for use
  • Keep an inventory of equipment and supplies, order equipment and supplies
  • Prepare equipment for classes and clinical examinations, organise, and prepare rooms for meetings, examinations, presentations, and teaching

Skills and qualifications required

To be successful, you will need to have:

  • HNC or equivalent experience
  • Experience of keeping inventories, noting when supplies are low and ordering replacement supplies
  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements and procedures
  • Excellent communication, IT, literacy and numeracy skills
