The University of Manchester is looking for a Teaching and Learning Officer – Online and Blended Learning Projects to join the University of Manchester Worldwide (UMW) Operations team supporting the online and blended learning course portfolio across the University. The role involves working as a project manager, to ensure processes and policies are in place to enable the smooth management of courses from the early stages of selection and approval, through design and development and on to delivery to students.
You will work closely with academic and professional services staff for online and blended learning, to ensure that project progress is rigorously monitored and deadlines are met for the development and delivery of high quality courses.
Candidates are expected to have a degree or equivalent professional experience and significant experience of planning and managing projects and delivering successful outcomes. Candidates will also be expected to have an understanding of project risk and experience in risk analysis and the development of effective mitigation strategies.
Candidates will require proven ability to analyse and interpret data, produce reports and management information and present progress, plans and goals to audiences both internal and external to the university. Candidates will also be expected to prioritise workloads, work effectively as part of a team, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
It would be advantageous, but not necessary, to have experience managing large-scale projects in Higher Education of a similar environment.
