The Centre for Medical Informatics at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is seeking two research assistants. We use state of the art data collection tools and analysis techniques to conduct cutting edge health informatics research. The International Severe Acute Respiratory and Emerging Infection Consortium (ISARIC; https://isaric4c.net/) has created tools for international investigators to collect and store data in a standardised way, providing a co-ordinated approach to the outbreak of infectious diseases.
Two Research Assistants are required to contribute to data linkage studies examining the clinical characteristics of COVID19 patients admitted to hospital in the UK. This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the response to the COVID19 pandemic by conducting innovative research at the interface between data science and medical research.
