Following Dr Peter Collyer’s recent appointment as Chief Executive at Benslow Music (from August 2022) an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Head of Music to build on strongly established foundations and further expand, develop and diversify Benslow Music’s offer. The successful candidate is likely to be someone with strong administrative, organisational as well as musical skills.
Benslow Music runs over 220 short residential and day courses annually, for beginners through advanced lifelong learners, ranging from solo to ensemble and orchestral playing, voice and choral, composition, classical, jazz, folk and world music, guided by experienced freelance tutors, also an extensive concert programme.
The campus, in Hitchin, Herts contains a wide variety of music facilities including a concert and recital halls, ensemble rooms, accommodation, in-house catering, a renowned Instrument Loan Scheme (providing quality instruments to promising young musicians) with luthier, and an extensive music library.
