We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic clinical research practitioner. The post holder will play a key role in the ATP Trial, recruiting and managing participants with depression in Cambridge. The role involves pre-screening calls with potential participants, organising appointments and liasing with the clinical facilities, such as the Cambridge Clinical Research Centre and the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre to arrange appointments, obtaining informed consent and collecting biological samples from participants, conducting research assessments including the MINI, C-SSRS and MADRS, performing data entry and preparing for monitoring visits. Local recruitment will be carried out on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
The ability to demonstrate competency in venepuncture or a willingness to train to gain competency and previous experience of research studies/clinical trials is essential. Excellent communication and organisation skills are required as the successful applicant will be expected to liaise with volunteers and collaborate with healthcare professionals and research teams across the country. Applicants should have experience of autonomously managing their workload and a willingness to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Having an adaptable and flexible approach to working hours and duties is essential as the requirements of this position are varied.
