We are looking for a proactive individual to join the Recruitment and Admissions team at the University of Edinburgh, Royal (D) School of Veterinary Sciences.
Ideally you will have experience of working in Higher Education, preferably in a similar role. You will also be organised, a team player and have great analytical skills, and have the confidence to work independently. Excellent presentation and people skills are essential.
The Opportunity:
As Recruitment Officer, you will be responsible for the UG recruitment cycle – this will include core activity such as; organisation and delivery of virtual and in person recruitment activities and attendance at HE Fairs, outreach events and other associated activities. Part of this role also involves organising and supporting student ambassadors and managing communication and conversion activity throughout the recruitment cycle. Coordinating international MMI events and supporting wider admissions team during busy periods throughout the cycle. This post includes some local, UK and international travel and occasional evening and weekend work.
You will be reporting to the Head of UG Recruitment and Admissions, at the School of Veterinary Sciences and working closely with the Partnerships Officer and Admissions Officer. You will work as part of a small close-knit team and be specifically responsible for supporting the Schools UG recruitment through a range of activities.
You will need to build effective working relationships with colleagues across the School and wider University to maximise knowledge and resource and to ensure the School’s activities align with University initiatives and strategy. A creative and flexible approach is required, with an ability to work some evenings and weekends and occasionally national and international travel.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, project management and time management skills with relevant professional experience and a degree equivalent qualification.
