We are seeking a Programmes Officer to join the Reuters Institute’s busy team. The post holder will provide administrative support to the journalist programmes, which include the internationally renowned and unique Reuters Journalist Fellowship Programme as well as digital deep dives, short courses, and the new Oxford Climate Journalism Network.
The role comprises programme administration including systems management, preparation and management of project budgets, KPI tracking and production of internal and external reports and ensuring compliance with University and Home Office visa regulations, as well as event management, with responsibility for the planning, management and delivery of programme events from inception to follow up.
You will have a flexible can-do approach, excellent team working skills, and a willingness to adapt to the changing needs and priorities of the Institute. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You will be organised, have a personable and diplomatic approach in dealing with a diverse range of people, and demonstrate initiative and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities when required.
The role is full-time (part-time 0.8fte considered) and is available from 20th June 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. This is a fixed term position until 31st December 2024, with possibility of extension subject to funding renewal. The department is trialling a hybrid office/remote working model, and there is some flexibility in daily working hours.
