1 FTE – two posts available
Francis Close Hall, Cheltenham
The School of Natural and Social Sciences at University of Gloucestershire is seeking to fill two 1.0 FTE posts. The posts are available at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer grade.
Making a contribution to teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the post-holders will be engaging and innovative lecturers who share our student-centred approach, are ready to offer a high standard of support and are keen to make a positive contribution to the student experience and employability. We are particularly looking to appoint individuals who can offer specialisms in Forensic and/or Clinical Psychology. A willingness and ability to contribute to aspects of applied psychology beyond the two mentioned above, such as Educational or Counselling Psychology, would also be desirable.
Applicants should offer a research portfolio commensurate with career stage and trajectory. They should also be able to outline a clear personal plan to develop a programme of research.
As well as welcoming applications from experienced academics we also encourage applications from those at an early stage of their career who may be in the final stages of completing their PhD. Appointments on a part-time or job-share basis will be considered, especially for applicants who wish to combine an academic career with a professional role as a practising Chartered Psychologist.
For further details of our requirements, please see the letter accompanying this advertisement.
Based at our attractive Francis Close Hall campus in Cheltenham, we offer a welcoming and positive working environment.
To minimise duplication of your effort, please limit your application to completion of the supplied form; a cover letter and CV will not be required. Your application should indicate if you wish to be considered for a Lecturer or a Senior Lecturer position, or for both.
Informal enquiries about these posts may be made by email to Dr Katerina Kantartzis (Academic Subject Leader, Psychological Sciences kkantartzis@glos.ac.uk).
Start date is 1 September 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Closing Date: midday 4th July 2022
Interview Date: 14th July 2022
The University is committed to building a diverse and inclusive staff community and welcomes applications from currently under-represented sections of our workforce. We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader, guaranteeing an interview to everyone who meets the definition of disability set out in the Equality Act 2010 and the essential criteria contained within the person specification.
