Background
Careers and Employability provides employability learning and careers information, advice and guidance to students and graduates of City University of London. Our mission is to support all City, University of London students to develop their employability.
City has made significant investment in an Employability Development Plan (EDP) which will see employability embedded across the curriculum. Professional Level Experience and the Micro-Placements Module and Industry Led Projects play a key part in achieving this. The work of the integrated experience team will have a high profile within the institution.
Responsibilities
You will contribute to our strategic objectives relating to employability on the Micro-Placement Programme and Industry Led Projects. You will maintain and cultivate strong links with employer partners of all sizes, with a view to sourcing professional-level work placements and opportunities for our students. You will work collaboratively with academic staff and staff within Careers and Employability, ensuring a seamless approach to the development and execution of provision. You will work to target and timeline in a fast-paced environment to meet targets and objectives.
Person Specification
You will have relevant experience within a business development setting and demonstrate effective stakeholder management/business development abilities.
You will have excellent organisation skills and experience in forward planning. Effective time management is required along with excellent resilience whilst working in a target driven environment. You will be pro-active, creative and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
