We have an exciting position for a motivated, flexible person to join our Large Animal Practice Team. The role involves assisting the clinical team with patient care, ambulatory visits and the instruction of veterinary undergraduate students.
Applicants should have experience of working with, and solid skills in handling cattle and sheep, and basic knowledge of their management. The role will involve some working with horses. An understanding of Health and Safety and knowledge of routine farm procedures is essential. Competence in Microsoft software packages is desirable.
You will ideally be educated to A level standard or have significant experience in a similar environment. Applicants should have a driving licence because the role will involve driving students from the vet school to the University Farm. The ability to drive a category D1 minibus is desirable but not essential.
There will be a requirement to work weekends on a rota basis, currently one in three, for which additional payment will be made.
