Technician - Cocoa Quarantine

The University of Reading hosts the International Cocoa Quarantine Centre, a unique resource that serves to supply research institutes worldwide with disease-free cocoa for research and crop breeding activities. We require a technician to provide support in the general maintenance of the greenhouse facilities of the International Cocoa Quarantine Centre at Arborfield.

You will have:

• General horticultural skills & knowledge
• Experience of working with plants and/or a horticultural/ agricultural qualification
• A pesticide spraying certificate (or be willing to train for one)
• Good organisational or problem-solving skills

This is a fixed term contract until 31/03/2023, with likelihood of extension.
