The Carnegie School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Sport & Exercise Biomechanics to join our Centre for Human Performance.
The successful applicant will join an established School that has seen significant investment and growth in staffing, undergraduate and postgraduate taught provision, postgraduate research, collaborative partnerships and facilities in recent years. In September 2020, we opened our £45M state-of-the art Carnegie School of Sport building that co-locates our teaching, specialist research, and knowledge exchange facilities. Our strength is the breadth and depth of our curriculum, research, and knowledge exchange portfolio, which is enriched by the disciplinary and lived experience of our staff and students.
Successful applicants will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and conducting biomechanics support services to amateur and elite athletes as well as research projects within the Centre for Human Performance. The candidate will be expected to deliver projects with existing external partners, as well as developing new opportunities, primarily focusing on return-to-play assessments and services related to golf and gait analysis. They will be supported by an existing team of biomechanics academics, but also expected to work with colleagues from other disciplines to be part of and develop multi-disciplinary services.
