We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science to undertake teaching, research and/or practice and to contribute to the excellent working atmosphere in the Department of Sport Science. You will be a great communicator and team player. You will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects and contribute to the employability potential of our students. Initially the primary teaching responsibility of the role is to lead an undergraduate module focusing on the development of professional, personal and academic skills. Therefore, we particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience of preparing undergraduates for high skilled occupations.
You will make a significant contribution to the Department’s learning and teaching. Ideally you will have a PhD and you will be research active and/or have a proven record of collaborating with industry and/or the wider community. You should have published high quality academic papers and your work should have societal, sport performance or economic impact. High level mentoring is available for all staff.

The Department of Sport Science resides within the School of Science and Technology on the Clifton Campus and there are excellent collaborative opportunities with colleagues in Biosciences including the John Van Geest Cancer Research Centre, Chemistry and Forensics, Computing and Technology, Engineering and in Mathematics and Physics. Nottingham Trent University has a long and established history for delivering sport-related programmes. Currently the Department comprises 54 academic staff and ~40 PhD research students, as well as large undergraduate and taught postgraduate cohorts. Recent investment into the Department has enhanced our physical resources, research environment and the student learning experience.
