We are seeking a creative individual to head a team of IT technical staff who provide a highly responsive IT technical support and delivery service to our academic staff, professional services, and students.
You will have knowledge of a range of services to provide support on the end to end workstation and server infrastructure in areas such as authentication services, file store management, access control, database services, configuration management and mail services. You will maintain an understanding of current and emerging technologies, and articulate understanding of how this will impact upon teaching and research active activity.
As a Team Manager within University IT you will be responsible for a Service Delivery team, delivering and supporting technical and functional solutions and/or services for the Colleges, Schools, and Professional Services departments. You will deliver against a clear vision for your area that will align to the main IT strategy, local IT service needs, and the broader University strategy. You will be expected to develop beneficial working relationships with other teams in the department, service stakeholders, and the broader University. You will have responsibility and will be accountable for actions and decisions taken by yourself and team members.
You will manage and contribute to the delivery of services across a broad range of IT technologies that support University teaching, research, and administrative activities within your area of responsibility, encompassing but not limited to:
