The service is in a period of exciting change – with considerable investment in additional resources to support our students and the role is likely to appeal to an experienced and strategic leader and manager and/or service specialist.
Reporting to the Director of Student Welfare – and working closely as part of the senior leadership team with the Head of Mental Health & Wellbeing, Head of Counselling, and the Residential Experience & Support Manager – the post-holder will line manage:
Ensuring service compliance with the Equality Act 2010, they will effectively and creatively deploy resources to provide specialist advice and support for students, to support them with their student experience. The post-holder will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to students and staff in the University’s Colleges as well as other Professional Services areas, on issues relating to student disability. Playing a critical role in helping to foster a University-wide culture of inclusion, they will be expected to drive forward innovation, continuous improvement, horizon-scan and lead change to ensure that the service model is responsible to the change external environment and student needs – implementing and utilising rich data sources, metrics and feedback, to innovate, develop and improve the service.
The role is likely to appeal to an experienced strategic leader and manager and/or service specialist.
The successful candidate is required to have Enhanced clearance from the DBS (The Disclosure and Barring Service).
