We are pleased to announce a permanent opportunity within Digital & Technology Services to help us successfully configure and manage the university’s IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) service.  

As ITSM Service Specialist, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring and administering the solution and for ensuing that the university derives the widest practical benefits and strategic application from its global usage. You will also assume day to day responsibility for system maintenance/performance and for ongoing service maturity, development and customer adoption, acting as an expert reference for stakeholders and point of escalation for incidents or complex issues when required.

Your background will include considerable proven experience of managing centrally managed and delivered IT platform services within a complex enterprise environment. You are a quick learner and have the ability to understand technical information and convey it in a non-technical manner to a range of stakeholder groups. You are customer focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ideally, you will also have experience of delivering end user training.

 As the successful candidate, you will have a degree/professional qualification or equivalent relevant experience and will be ideally ITIL qualified (desirable).

The post is offered on a permanent, full time (36.25 hours per week) contract. However applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum x29hours per week).
