Are you a highly organised and flexible professional with experience working in compliance in a regulatory environment? Or do you have a background in educational quality assurance or assessment design? Do you have an interest in horizon-scanning and driving forward change in order to ensure that Kent’s quality assurance is of the highest standard?

If so, we would welcome your application to the role Quality Assurance Officer to oversee the correct application of University regulations, policies and procedures in relation to quality assurance and accreditation of Kent Business School courses. You will work closely with the divisional QA, Accreditations and Rankings Manager and the central Quality Assurance and Compliance Office to help ensure the Division is compliant with University and sector regulatory frameworks.

You will provide professional service leadership and advice on the compliance of our courses and modules with the requirements of the Division's various Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs).  

As Quality Assurance Officer, you will:

  •   Provide clear and accurate QA advice to the Division (including in areas of ambiguity) to ensure its activities align with University regulations, and support its quality assurance strategies and initiatives, including annual Boards of Examiners
  •   Provide advice and support to staff in the development and approval of new courses and modules; review and revise existing provision and develop and maintain collaborative arrangements with partner institutions
  •   Manage divisional activity in relation to meeting the requirements of the University’s QA processes and procedures, ensuring compliance, mitigating divisional and institutional risk, and liaising with the Quality Assurance and Compliance Office as necessary

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  •   Experience of working in compliance in a regulatory environment or in the education sector with a focus on quality assurance or assessment design
  •   Strong project management skills - being able to manage simultaneous activities & complete work streams accurately and with attention to detail
  •   Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people at all levels
