Curriculum Leader - Engineering

Contractual Hours: 37 per week

Location: Skills Academy - Automotive, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics

An opportunity has arisen to join the College’s highly successful engineering team as a Curriculum Leader. This is a key role where you will be responsible for managing course delivery and compliance of engineering subjects up to Level 3.  You will be responsible for managing a team of staff ensuring the team provide an outstanding learner experience and achieve set quality and business targets.

The successful candidate will be required to ensure that the curriculum is innovative, forward thinking and aligned to the local job’s market and is designed around learner needs and their required outcomes.

You will have experience of providing effective leadership and communication to members of the curriculum team and designing, planning and implementing curriculum delivery. You will be responsible for all programme outcomes and participate in the sharing of best practice in teaching and learning across the curriculum areas. 

This is a unique opportunity and requires someone who is forward thinking, passionate about teaching and excited about the future technology within the engineering sector.

There is also the opportunity to shape new pathways responding to regional skills demand, employment market and technological advances. The department has many high-profile established relationships in the sector and is constantly looking to expand these whether it be with employers, potential learners and alumni and this role will be key to maintaining and growing new ones. This curriculum is at the heart of what we do and this post requires a positive individual to enrich the curriculum offer and support the Head of Department to lead the staff and student body.
