Are you working in the conservation, environment, woodland or wider land management sectors? Are you interested in helping students learn the skills necessary for these career pathways?

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Wildlife & Conservation Management team at SRUC’s Barony Campus.

A working knowledge of the application of conservation and environmental management techniques (e.g. practical conservation, habitat management or visitor management techniques) is essential, and experience of working with a wide range of tools and equipment in these fields is desirable.

In this role you will:

  • contribute to the development and delivery of a vibrant programme of growth for SRUC’s Wildlife & Conservation Management (WCM) and Rural Skills education, training & research capability;
  • provide guidance and support to enable learners from all sections of the community to be included in education and achieve their potential as successful learners and future citizens;
  • work with the Programme Leader to help identify opportunities to further develop the academic portfolio for student recruitment across SRUC’s work-based learning, short course and taught course programmes;
  • contribute, where relevant, to the delivery of wider wildlife and conservation management-based research & development, including assisting colleagues with fieldwork.
