Newman University is seeking to recruit an Overseas Experience Coordinator to support University strategies to enhance student engagement and success.
You will be responsible for the development, promotion and delivery of the University’s portfolio of mobility programmes and partnerships as part of the wider enhancement opportunities for students, supporting departmental and University objectives within our Student Success framework. You will also support incoming overseas students as part of our partnership agreements, liaising closely with partner institutions and ensuring incoming students receive an appropriate induction programme and are supported during their study semester.
You will also support outgoing students before, during and after their experience abroad, giving advice about funding applications, practical arrangements for travel and accommodation, as well as visa and insurance requirements.
The post also requires the development of highly effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in professional and academic areas, here and with our overseas partners, in order to facilitate and embed a high quality student experience of overseas opportunities. Responsibility for maintaining administrative and reporting functions required by funding bodies, as well as producing reports on overseas experience activity and targets is also required.
The post is offered on a part time basis (3 days per week) to commence as soon as possible.
Applicants must possess a first degree, have undertaken training in UK immigration requirements in relation to Higher Education and have previous professional experience of co-ordinating and delivering study abroad opportunities for students (both outgoing and incoming). Knowledge and experience of Erasmus+ reporting requirements, in addition to experience of advice work with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds is also essential.
