JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for an International research skill for STEM Tutor (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) to join The University of Sheffield International College.
The University of Sheffield International College and its programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Sheffield.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this job, you will deliver our science provision, teaching groups of international students on our Level 6 programme, both online and face-to-face. Our class sizes are on average around 18 students, and you will be given the autonomy to be innovative and engaging to enhance the learning experience. You will undertake marking and feedback provision on a formative and summative basis. You will encourage students to participate in a wide range of self-study activities via the College virtual learning environment (VLE), and you will have the chance to support the development of the student’s independent learning. You will provide input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process. You will participate in regular meetings with teaching staff.
The Project Skills for STEM module covers elements of Excel data skills, MATLAB programming, academic writing skills and group project supervision.
