The Pirbright Institute
Pirbright is a world-leading centre of excellence in research and surveillance of viral diseases of farm animals and viruses that spread from animals to humans. We study viruses that are endemic and exotic to the UK. Our strengths in virology and understanding host immune systems provide a platform to control current diseases and respond to emerging threats.
The Department of Infectious Disease is one of eight departments within the Faculty of Medicine, and provides a research environment where scientists work together to address the unmet needs for infectious disease control.
This honorary position will be linked to the Section of Virology. The successful candidate will be employed by the Pirbright Institute and will hold an honorary position at ICL. They will benefit from unique capabilities, resources, and expertise across both Pirbright and ICL.
Applicants proposing to work in other subject areas are welcome to apply to our concurrent advert (22P-58). Please note, only this position is linked with ICL, and is specific to influenza research.
