Queen Mary University of London is a leading university in the UK, with a breadth of excellence across Science and Engineering, Medicine, and Humanities and Social Sciences. This post is based within the School of Engineering and Material Science.

About the Role
The role has full responsibility for the management of the technical facilities within the School, including oversight of effective and efficient provision of technical support for the purposes of teaching, research and commercial partnerships. The post holder will lead a multidisciplinary team of technical staff and play an important role in the strategic planning for the workshop and laboratories and development and growth of technical staff and space provision for the School. The post-holder will work collaboratively with colleagues within the School and wider University to ensure the effective delivery of their objectives.

About You
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have demonstrable experience of working in a laboratory environment. Knowledge and experience of supporting research and teaching and a proven track record of managing staff are also essential to the role.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of October 2022. The starting salary will be Grade 6, in the range of £48,035 - £53,625 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
