About the role
You will support practical activities within the College of Engineering and Technology with particular emphasis on Sound, Light & Live Event Engineering, Electronics and Audio disciplines.
Working closely with academics and members of technical team you will provide specialist support relating to technical activities. Working across several laboratories with a high degree of autonomy. Provide additional technical support across the college of Engineering as required. You will be part of a technical team responsible for the ongoing maintenance, operation and safety of college equipment. Able to provide full technical support and instruction to students and staff including training and advice on the appropriate use of resources.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience of event technologies and be responsible for preparation, maintenance, programming and operation of sound, lighting, video and rigging equipment.
