Band 2 Professor, within the range of £65,578 - £76,111 per annum
Full time, fixed term for 3 years
The Integrated Care Academy (ICA) is seeking to appoint a Professor to lead its Programme of Research. The ICA is the first of its kind in the country, an innovative partnership between the University of Suffolk, the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), Suffolk County Council, Healthwatch Suffolk and others for the voluntary and community sector, such as Suffolk Mind and local hospices.
This Professorial post is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic leadership of the ICA. You will play a pivotal role in the long-term success of the ICA as you contribute to national and international debates about the future of integrated care. A key part of this role is to foster relationships across the University, with existing and future partners, and key stakeholders across the NHS, social care, voluntary and community sector, and NGOs to extend its vibrant and innovative programme of research in integrated care. You will be expected lead in the delivery of the next Research Excellence Framework.
Applicants should have a strong leadership profile in academia and/or in policy related to the care sector and its integration. They will have an extensive record of working across the boundaries between academy and policy, demonstrate a record of successful research funding, delivery of nationally recognised research programmes, have a stellar publication record, and have achieved successful doctoral supervision. You will have demonstrable experience of, and involvement in, the processes around the Research Excellence Framework. In addition, you will possess a strong personal drive to encourage and motivate others, building a robust research and teaching culture across the ICA and the wider University.
