We are looking for an early career academic, with specialism in or experience of teaching quantitative research methods using R and RStudio to deliver basic and advanced quantitative methods across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes housed in the Institute of Sport, Nursing and Allied Health. A prior degree in a field related to sport, exercise or public health will be an advantage, as will experience of teaching at postgraduate level. Evidence of any of the following will be an additional advantage: Publications in peer-reviewed journals, consultancy delivery and development, research income generation, desire and potential to develop in these areas.

As a Lecturer you will teach as a member of the teaching team in a developing capacity across modules covering research methods in programmes of coaching, sport and exercise science, sport nutrition, sport performance analysis, public health, sport and exercise psychology and more, with the assistance of a mentor and/or senior colleague if required. You will be expected to fully and actively engage in the range of activities that ensure high learning and teaching quality within the modules delivered, and work flexibly and efficiently in discharging your responsibilities. Commitment to duties involving student outreach and recruitment activities will also be expected.
