Description of Post
The post relates primarily to the teaching of Analytical Sciences in the School of Science. The School has a wide range of degree courses across a number of disciplines including Medical Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Human Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Science, Environmental science and Forensic Science and Investigation, as well as online programmes including Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biopharmaceutical Sciences and Environmental Sciences in which the successful applicant will be expected to support.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake lecturing and associated duties on a range of Analytical Science modules within the School.
The successful candidate will also be required to supervise postgraduate research and engage in the development of new full time and online courses.
Applicants must, as a minimum, hold an MSc and an Honours Bachelor Degree at 2.1 or better in Analytical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline with significant analytical sciences component.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in an applied practical area of analytical sciences.
