Full time, Fixed Term: This post is funded for 12 months in the first instance.
The Department of Economics has an estimated annual income from research grants of £1m, a replacement-teaching budget of over three quarters of a million pounds, a growing number of funded research studentships and a large annual budget allocation from the College. The post holder will form an integral part of the department administrative and finance teams through assisting in the day-to-day management of all departmental finances and HR administration including carrying out HR related duties for teaching staff and ensuring UKVI compliance for Tier 4 workers, and will help out with research grants management and student finance support.
This post is funded for 12 months in the first instance.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or have a relevant experience or an academic qualification in accounting. Experience of budgeting processes, financial systems and research grants as well as the ability to work independently, using own initiative, and to manage and prioritise competing workloads is also essential.
