Do you want to represent a key role in the delivery of the University of Cumbria's student recruitment, outreach and widening participation access work?
As the Outreach Officer, you will have the ability to build strong relationships with schools, colleges, community groups and other partners across the region. A key part of the role is account management and you will be expected to facilitate and secure interventions across a designated Market area, developing activities that contribute toward Marketing and Recruitment Campaigns, meet outreach activity and engagement targets, whilst contributing to Student Recruitment targets.
You will be part of a team of professionals, across a number of campuses, and will manage, co-ordinate and deliver activities with schools, colleges, other education providers and community groups to drive student recruitment, providing Information Advice and Guidance (IAG), developing and facilitating engaging subject-based activities and interventions. You will also contribute to overcoming widening participation barriers through our access activity.
You should be educated to degree level with a good knowledge of Higher Education. You will also display a passion and enthusiasm for higher education and its benefits, and be committed to equal opportunities and widening participation. Previous experience of delivering student recruitment outreach activities and educational guidance would be an advantage and is preferred.
