The Queen’s Foundation seeks a Director of Research to oversee our work with our group of around 40 research students, and to develop the research work undertaken by Queen’s. Our research work includes two partnerships with institutions in Rwanda and Sri Lanka.
We seek a ‘mid-career’ scholar whose primary interest is the development of others, either as researchers or as members or ministers in churches who are undertaking specific projects to enhance their discipleship, ministry or understanding of Christian faith in the contemporary world. The successful applicant will recognise the importance of good partnership working (we work with the Vrije Universiteit [VU] Amsterdam) and clear, well-run procedures, alongside the excitement of enabling a wide range of students at different life-stages, and from diverse backgrounds and contexts, to explore new topics of relevance to church and society.
The Director of Research will have five main responsibilities.
No specific theological specialism is designated for this post, although the successful applicant will be invited to share in teaching and curriculum development in their specialist area across the Foundation, as well as continuing their own research interests.
