We are currently recruiting for a Secretary/ Centre Assistant to provide assistance to the Scholarship Centre for innovation in online Legal and Business Education (SCiLAB). Established in 2018, SCiLAB brings together all staff in the Faculty of Business and Law to promote innovation, scholarship and enterprise in open and distance learning.
The role
You will provide a high quality and effective administration service to the Centre ensuring that tasks are completed professionally and to deadline.
This will include being the first point of contact for day to day queries as well as working alongside the rest of the SCiLAB team to arrange events and workshops. You will attend meetings, take minutes and create action plans, plus provide assistance for scholarship projects including management of contracts, fees and expense payments. The role will also ensure the intranet site, external website and other information and communication channels are kept up to date with current information and materials.
Skills and Experience
This role requires a good general secondary education or equivalent, to include English and Maths as well as strong IT skills and diary management experience. Previous experience working in a similar role and strong communication skills are also essential for this post.

This role is part time, 18.5 hours per week and ideally this would be split across 3 days per week Monday-Thursday with flexibility around facilitating events and Centre requirements. Further details can be discussed during application and interview stage.
